Spin Digital at Berlin Video Tech Meetup

Spin Digital joined Berlin Video Tech Meetup Round 12, which took place at the Forum Digital Technologies from Fraunhofer HHI institute on Monday May 4th 2026 at 6:00 pm.

Mauricio Alvarez Mesa, COO and co-founder of Spin Digital made a presentation titled: Ultra-low latency video encoding: when every millisecond counts.

I his presentation Mauricio discussed the growing importance of media applications that require ultra-low latency delivery and presented the technical requirements for ultra-low latency encoding including single frame encoding, small HRD buffer support, and gradual decoder intra refresh (GDR). He also discussed how Spin Digital developed an optimized video encoder, HEVC and VVC for ultra low latency and presented some results.

The Berlin Video Tech Meetup is meeting space for anyone interested in video technology, media players, streaming, transcoding, codecs, content management and related topics.
